Total Solar Eclipse

Fellow Nasa Social Crew 6 mission alum Shay Nicole traveled to Maine close to the Canadian border to capture this amazing sight of the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8, 2024.

In addition to that, Red Bull these once-in-a-lifetime images required aerobatic pilots Kevin Coleman and Pete McLeod to fly in tandem a mere four feet apart, 1,500 feet in the sky, while renowned photographers Peter McKinnonMason Mashon and Dustin Snipes photographed them from the ground.

The last Total Solar Eclipse to come over the United States was in August 2017 and the next total solar eclipse will occur on August 12, 2045.

The next total eclipse that will be visible in New York will be on May 1, 2079.
