The U.S. Premiere of the first new episode was held on Saturday , October 10th,  for a standing-room-only crowd during New York Comic Con 2015. This was followed by an exclusive Q & A panel with series creator and Executive Producer Chris Carter and stars David Duchovny and Mitch Pileggi. The panel was hosted by Kumail Nanjiani.

The X-Files returns on January 24th, 2016.
