On August 2nd, 2017, Crystal Pepsi celebrated the first stop on the Crystal Pepsi Throwback Tour, with a performance by Busta Rhymes, at Billy’s Sports Bar outside of Yankee Stadium in New York City.
The concert was hosted by “The Voice of New York” Angie Martinez with music by DJ Prostyle.
Busta Rhymes, who recently announced he is releasing an album soon with The Conglomerate, performed some of his greatest hits including “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See” and “I Know What You Want”. Busta was also joined on stage by the Grandfather of Rap, DJ Kool Herc.
The Crystal Pepsi Throwback Tour is in celebration of the final limited run of the iconic clear cola. It is a multi-city tribute to the nostalgia of the 90s and will produce two more free shows following the New York stop tonight. This epic evening will be followed by performances by Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath on August 11th in Phoenix and Salt-N-Pepa on August 13th in Miami, at stadiums across the U.S. during the 2017 baseball season.
