Ubisoft Enlists Kevin Love to Promote New Ghost Recon Game

From Jonah Hill and Sam Worthington appearing in Call of Duty commercials to Martin Sheen lending his voice to Mass Effect 3, celebrities getting involved in gaming is now a standard of the industry. Ubisoft’s latest campaign for its new shooter Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is no different, as the gaming publisher just announced NBA All-Star Kevin Love as the first part of Team Ghost, a group of celebrities put together to help promote the new game. The stars will be faced with certain challenges, and were all picked for the team based on their talents.
“I’m excited to be a member of Team Ghost and that first guy out there on the battlefield”, said Kevin Love in a press release. “Just like on the basketball court, my role on this team is to be a long range shooter. After winning the three-point contest this year, I proved that long range is my specialty so I’ll be a sniper on this squad.”
Complex has an information hub for Team Ghost, and lists the 3 unnanounced team members as “A future NFL sensation, A hot young rapper, and the sexiest wife on reality TV.” More info will be leaked out on the site over the coming weeks, and those who guess the team members early can win prizes.
Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is a first person shooter that will allow gamers to experience the future of warfare through a variety of creative weapons and technology. It drops on May 22nd, will you be picking it up?
