Starting in the Guatemalan jungle, traveling through central Mexico and reaching the Arizona Desert. Each chapter is composed from documentation of immigrants’ journeys during the 2018 Caravan, using 3D scans, drones, traditional footage, interviews and 360 footage.

For the 18th annual Tribeca Film Festival, creator and director Alfredo Salazar-Caro will premiere Dreams of the Jaguar’s Daughter, Chapter I: Roots/Exodus (El Sueño de La Hija Del Jaguar – Capitulo I: Raiz/Exodo) as a 360 film.

Gymnasia, by Felix and Paul Studios, where the viewer steps into the stillness of an abandoned school and enter GYMNASIA, a place where the ghostly ephemera of a lost childhood await you.
Recall the particular sights and sounds of a child’s world through the echoes of ball games, school lessons and choir recitals. GYMNASIA reanimates the memories of those forgotten days. This project flawlessly blends 3D 360-degree video, stop-motion, miniatures and CGI, and pushes the art of puppet animation into uncharted territory.

Bonfire, starring comedian, writer and actress Ali Wong, is the fifth and most recent project from the Annie and Emmy award-winning interactive VR/AR animation studio, Baobab Studios.

With a vision to create the most immersive storytelling experiences by melding viewer interactivity into the narrative, Baobabhas turned the viewer into a character in every one of their animated experiences.  In Bonfire, Baobab has pushed technological limits with it’s real-time rendering, artificial intelligence and interactive narrative systems to create a new virtual reality experience, where you, the viewer, play the leading role!

In Bonfire, the latest interactive VR experience from the award-winning Baobab Studios, you play the leading role. As Space Scout 817, you are on a mission to discover a new home for the human race after it has made a mess of Earth. The stakes are high. Too bad your piloting skills lack… precision. In fact, you crash-land at night in a mysterious clearing of an unknown planet three-hundred light-years from Earth. Your only source of light is your makeshift bonfire. Beyond its glow everything falls to darkness. And what are those strange noises coming from the alien jungle?

You have only your instincts and your robot sidekick, Debbie, to guide you. Voiced by comedian, actress, and writer Ali Wong, Debbie’s companionship comes with a signature wariness. When a chance meeting with a local inhabitant further steers your mission off course, you learn that unexpected encounters just might result in lasting friendships. In this intimate setting you have the opportunity to embrace, explore and influence the world around you, and, perhaps, make new friends.

Eric Darnell (CCO, Baobab Studios), directed the Madagascar franchise, grossing more than $2.5 billion. Darnell was also executive producer of The Penguins of Madagascar and director of Antz. At Baobab, Darnell won Daytime Emmys® as the director of Invasion! and Asteroids!, and an Annie Award for Crow: The Legend.
