Clearly, Yela knows what he wants and how to achieve it. With his album landing in stores this fall, the trash-talking spitter is hitting the road on his “Hard White” tour, which snakes through the United States until the end of October. Some fans may have grown accustomed to the rough and rugged sound of his previous releases, but he’s confident that Radioactive won’t disappoint.
“I would never want to alienate the fans I’ve created by getting into my own space and just ignoring the fact that Trunk Muzik has built a career for me. I think that’s a mistake that a lot of artists make,” he says. “Hopefully, they’ll fucking have a good time and get away from life, or at least for the entirety of the album. That’s what music is for. I hope that they appreciate my willingness to grow, and I think we pulled it off. At the end of the day, I’m happy with the album and I’m just elated to have a release. I’ve been waiting for a long time.”
