Paramore Begin Early Stages of Work on New Album

While Paramore fans will have to wait a fairly long time to hear the band’s fourth album, frontwoman Hayley Williams spoke to SPIN about some early progress the band are making on the record. Former Beck and Nine Inch Nails bassist Justin Meldal-Johnsen will produce the new LP, and Williams promises the lack of a release schedule will be worth the wait.
“There has never been so much time and care put into a Paramore album,” Williams told SPIN. “Usually, we are rushing to make a very strict deadline which so far has just not been right for this record.”
Williams noted that the “flood gates burst” this past January when it came to the band’s writing process, as they’ve finally hit a stride making new songs. The pop-rockers’ last effort was 2009’s blazing Brand New Eyes, while singles such as “In the Mourning” and “Monster” have been released in the meantime.
