I attended New York Comic Con 2014 on behalf of YRB Magazine. Once again the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center opened its doors to the thousands of people who have been planning and waiting for Comic Con.

I could not wait to take part in all the fun activities. It’s the fans that make this show so special, and they are like no other.

The geeks and cosplayers are a major part of what makes NYCC what it is, donning their costumes and sharing their love for all things sci-fi, comic book and anime related.

As I waded through the waves of people making my way through the show, my eyes darted from costume to costume. With my Canon Rebel T3i and a Sigma 17-50 f2.8, I eagerly photographed them.

This place and time always makes me feel like I’m part of my favorite TV shows, anime series and comics. I watched the DC heroes and villains square off against one another. You can see an entire family sharing their love of cosplay — after all, a family that cosplays together stays together. It truly is something to see and experience.
