The hip-hop veterans Havoc and Prodigy better known as the two that make up Mobb Deep are back at it again with the release of their Limited Edition EP “Black Cocaine” set to hit stores next week. The EP will be released in two formats which are a 5 song limited edition EP available everywhere on November 21st and a Deluxe 7 song limited edition EP available only at independent retailers on November 25th. This EP is the first album to be released on their newly formed Infamous Records imprint. The album which is only going to be in stores and available for a limited time is a prelude to the group’s official full-length album that is expected to come out in the beginning of 2012. Havoc states, “This limited edition EP is a collectors’ item for die hard Mobb Deep fans.”
Some of the tracks off the album that are featured on websites consist of “Street Lights”, “Dead Man’s Shoe”, and “Conquer”.
Mobb Deep are also in full promoting mode doing shows like an hour long interview on the Sirius FM Shade 45 radio show hosted by Sway from MTV “Sway in the Morning” on November 22nd at 10 AM. The crew is also set to perform in New York’s BBKings that same night. Make sure to also watch them on November 18th as they join the panel yet again for “Freestyle Friday” on BET’s 106 & Park.
