The ticketed benefit will take place at a private residence in Sagaponack on Saturday, August 8th. Tickets are now available here.

The Foundation’s Hamptons Benefit returns for its second year for an evening of entertainment that acknowledges the importance of music in the schools. VH1 Save The Music Foundation Board Member Julie Macklowe and her husband Billy will co-chair the event with last year’s honoree, Charlie Walk (EVP, Republic Records) and his wife Lauran.  Each year, the benefit brings together Foundation supporters and tastemakers who are advocates of music as an important part of a comprehensive education.

Joining Derulo to round out the night’s musical entertainment are DJs Hannah Bronfman and Brendan Fallis.

“Music education played an important role throughout my childhood and is something that remains very close to my heart,” said Derulo. “I’m honored for the opportunity to team with VH1 Save The Music Foundation this summer in support of a cause that’s so dear to me. Come out and join us in the Hamptons!”

“As VH1 Save The Music Foundation nears its 20th anniversary, our commitment to preserving music education in public schools is made possible by the support of our amazing community,” said Tom Calderone, president of VH1. “We’re so grateful to host this event for the second year with the support of people like Jason, Julie, Billy, Charlie and Lauran.”

In the five years since his beginnings as a songwriter for artists including Lil Wayne, Pitbull, Diddy and Sean Kingston — Derulo has become a global superstar, selling more than 50 million singles worldwide and racking up over 2 billion views on YouTube and 1 billion plays on Spotify. Derulo’s 2014 album, Talk Dirty, spawned five platinum singles that sold a collective 16 million units worldwide.

Bronfman has served as a DJ and musical curator for some of the largest fashion/art events and corporate clients worldwide, including Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week, Banana Republic, Bvgalri, Chopard, Christian Louboutin, Dior, Ebay, Fendi, H&M, Moet-Chandon, Samsung, SONY and UNICEF. She has also opened for stars including John Legend. Fallis gained worldwide attention from both the music and fashion industries for his production abilities when he created a track, “Day and All Night,” using Kate Moss’ vocals for Stuart Weitzman’s Fall 2013 Campaign. Since then, Fallis has remixed two tracks, Eamon’s 2004 hit F*ck It and Voyageur’s Pharaohs, both of which charted in the top 50 on HYPE MACHINE’s most popular remixes chart.

In 2014, Hamptons Live raised $350,000, which enabled a generous donation of Taylor guitars made locally to Bridgehampton School. Save The Music plans to make another community donation in conjunction with this year’s Hamptons Live event.

Sponsors for this year’s Hamptons Live event include Avnet, vbeauté® and VH1. Tickets can be purchased, and tax-deductible donations made to the VH1 Save The Music, at http://www.eventbrite.com/e/hamptons-live-2015-tickets-16384178519.
