Helen Yarmak presented her Spring/Summer 2016 collection on September 17th, 2015 at her penthouse showroom in the iconic Crown Building (the former Playboy Mansion), during New York Fashion Week.
The collection was inspired by the tulip, which historically was very precious; it connotes luxury, beauty and passion.
The motif finds expression in unexpected ways in this collection, which combines modern ease and versatility with both relaxed and fitted shapes that account for the demands of contemporary life. The colors in the fur collection reflect the jewel tones in the Helen Yarmak jewelry collection – diamond yellows and whites, sapphire blues and pinks, Paraiba tourmaline fluorescence, emerald greens and tanzanite blues/purples as well as ombrés – reminiscent of the variegated dégradé on some rare tulips.
Helen Yarmak creations are considered “wearable art”, collected for enduring style and value. Rare sables, lustrous minks, sleek Persian lambs, plush fox and more, in both classic and avant garde renderings, form the basis of the permanent collection. Helen Yarmak also creates a limited edition fur collection each season.
