White Lung released their fourth studio album Paradise in May 6 on Domino. The album simmers with desire and pain, love and beauty, and a seething urgency, hurtling towards the album closer and title track Paradise at signature breakneck speed. This time around vocalist Mish Barber-Way, guitarist Kenneth William and drummer Anne-Marie Vassiliou reconnected in LA to work with producer Lars Stalfors (HEALTH, Cold War Kids, Alice Glass). Bringing all the energy, unique guitar work and lyrical prowess the band are known for to the studio, White Lung curated their songs with a new pop sensibility, focusing in on making a record for the present – resulting in their smartest, brightest songwriting yet.

The album landed them a performance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. NPR: All Songs Considered‘s Bob Boilen has hailed them as “one of the absolute ten best American bands in a live situation.”

Kurt Vile’s latest album, b’lieve i’m goin down… was undoubtedly one of the most acclaimed albums of 2015, with Pitchfork, NPR, Rolling Stone, Vogue, American Songwriter, Paste, Spin, and many more all calling it one of the best records of the year. “it’s the purest distillation of Vile’s idiosyncratic style to date” (AV Club) and “the hardest-working slacker in rock goes from strength to strength” (Q Magazine) are typical of the consensus that it both focuses and broadens his appeal.
