On Monday October 17 E! News host Giuliana Rancic, featured in the latest Fall Fashion issue of YRB Magazine, announced that she had breast cancer. Rancic, who has been under the public eye struggling to get pregnant on her reality-TV show Giuliana and Bill, learned of the tumor after being advised to get a mammogram before undergoing fertility treatment for a third time. Thankfully due to the advice of her IVF doctor the cancer was caught in the early stages, had they gone through with the fertility treatment without detecting the tumor the hormones would have accelerated any cancerous cells in her body. Yesterday Rancic announced that her surgery went well and she plans to return to work next week. She will undergo six weeks of radiation therapy after which she is hoping to continue working towards having a baby.
