 PERSONAL STORY

“Producing these bags has been an incredible journey of perfection in imperfection; an intriguing tale spun by the finest of weavers, it seems. This Alkebulan Collection, branded as my signature brand– a “never been done before” concept of an African map bag — has taken me more than 4years to design, envisioning how it could be infused in our modern fashion and style.  The most amazing part of this concept is the journey; the struggle and strive with a selection of artisans in Africa to bring this concept to life, so that we can say ‘Made in the United States Of Africa’. Today it is more than a dream, we have challenged against the odds, we have proven our creativity in Africa. I hope this bag brings about a revolution and evolution of African unity, whether Black, White, or Yellow African around the world through style and pride… I’m Just a dreamer, who just made a dream a reality in our dream to pursue bigger dreams. Let’s live it. “
