On January 28, 2025 the Whitney Museum of American Art transformed into “Studio 99” to celebrate its annual Art Party.
The disco-inspired event invited young patrons, emerging artists, and New Yorkers from the worlds of art, fashion, business, philanthropy, and entertainment for an unforgettable evening of dancing, music, and of course the incredible art collection within the Whitney Museum!
Co-chairs Steven Beltrani, Micaela Erlanger, Alexander Hankin, Christine Sun Kim, and Tabboo! enthusiastically greeted guests.
Partygoers were entertained with DJ sets by duo The Muses and Jenny Albright.
Art Party, a fundraiser for the Museum’s Independent Study Program, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Hosted by the Museum’s Whitney Contemporaries, proceeds from the Art Party provide critical support to the Whitney’s renowned Independent Study Program (ISP). Founded in 1968, ISP is one of the country’s leading postgraduate programs in studio art, curatorial studies, and critical studies. The program furthers the Whitney’s mission to support living artists throughout their careers.
Guests also enjoyed exclusive access to the Museum’s galleries, including the landmark Edges of Ailey before it closes on February 9, 2025.
The disco-inspired decor is designed by Wizard Studios. Attendees enjoyed hors d’oeuvres by Olivier Cheng Catering. The craft cocktails for the evening were made by Maestro Dobel® Tequila.
