On July 14, 2018 Bud Light kicked-off its first-ever Bud Light Getaway Festival in North Charleston, SC’s Riverfront Park.
The multi-genre show featured Sam Hunt, Lil Jon, Dashboard Confessional and folk-pop artist Harry Hudson.
The talented emerging artist Harry Hudson wowed festival-goers with a rousing performance of his songs “Cry for Love” and “Gone” at the Bud Light mobile dive bar. Following him, Atlanta’s own Lil’ Jon spun hit after hit during his DJ sets. Then world-renown indie rock band Dashboard Confessional took the crowd through a slew of hits including “Stolen”, “Hands Down” and “Vindicated.” Heartthrob Sam Hunt closed out the concert and had the crowd singing along to many of his hits including, “Body Like a Back Road,” “Break Up in a Small Town” and “House Party.”
In addition to the musical performances, Bud Light Getaway featured pop-ups throughout the grounds for fans to enjoy, including: Bud Light’s mobile brewery with day fresh beer, a Stitch Shop with exclusive Bud Light Getaway merchandise, an onsite Dive Bar pop-up for intimate musical performances, and a Citrus Summer Lounge to serve up the brand’s newest innovations, Bud Light Lime and Bud Light Orange.
Proceeds from the event benefitted Surfrider Grand Stand Chapter, promoting ocean and beach preservation.
