On Wednesday, April 15, the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival launched with the much anticipated premiere of LIVE FROM NEW YORK! at the Beacon Theatre.

The documentary highlights the past 40 years of SNL and how it has impacted and influenced American culture.

Present at the premiere were Tribeca Film Festival co-founder Robert De Niro and former Mayor of NYC Rudy Giuliani, both of whom have appeared as guest on the show several times during its long history.

SNL cast members graced the red carpet as well as other actors, from TV and Hollywood — Michelle Rodriguez Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Gabourey Sidibe Mamie Gummer, Bobby Moynihan, Beck Bennett among them — as well as Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Sasheer Zamata, Lily Rabe and Leslie Jones.

The Creater and Producer of Saturday Night Live Lorne Michaels was also present at the premiere.
