Event Recap: Kaskade at Roseland Ballroom

Last Friday America’s best DJ for 2011 Kaskade performed at Roseland Ballroom.  The event was in celebration of the release of Kaskade’s new album Fire and Ice that dropped on iTunes October 25, and became available everywhere else today.  Tickets to the event had been sold out almost immediately and the line to get in went from the front of Roseland Ballroom on 52 Street and wrapped all the way around to 53rd even two hours after the show had started.  Electronic Nation dubbed the event Trick Or Beats prompting attendees to come to the event dressed in their Halloween costumes, which the majority of them did.  There were ghost busters, ballerinas, captains, prisoners and one attendee was even dressed up as deadmau5. After guest performances by special guests Alesso, Le Castle Vania and Sleepy and Boo, Kaskade took the stage opening his two and a half hour long set with his new single “Eyes.”  Screens surrounding Kaskade on stage streamed videos and images during his performance.  His constant energy and aerial dancers not only added excitement to the performance but kept the crowd going til 4 a.m. when the show ended.
