On Tuesday , February 9th, 2016 , YRB attended the Epson Digital Couture FW16 presentation for its new digital textile printing fashion week event in New York City.
11 selected designers from the Americas will showcase their collections created using Epson’s state-of-the-art direct-to-garment and digital dye-sublimation printing. To commemorate the return of this showcase of designers coming together for fashion, this year’s theme for the presentation is “Harmony and Peace Through Fashion.”
Digital dye-sublimation and direct-to-garment technologies, a relatively new trend in the textile industry, allow designers to alter textile designs, make color selections with the click of a mouse, and hone in on the fine details of their creations. Epson’s SureColor® F-Series printers give fashion and textile designers alike an accessible means to bring their ideas and inspiration to life, with the signature quality that distinguishes the Epson brand.
This technology gives both young entrepreneurs just starting out in the fashion world, as well as established fashion brands, a way to produce their art in an efficient and affordable manner. It provides a whole new level of creative and functional versatility. These innovations in technology continue to reinvigorate the fashion industry and inspire creativity among new designers.
Designers now have tremendous liberty, versatility and total creative design freedom, enabling artistic visions to become a reality.
