On Saturday December 3, 2016, YRB attended a pool party at the W South Beach in Miami for SPG Amex Card Members and invited guests. Starwood Preferred Guest from American Express teamed up with pioneer graffiti artist CRASH and Ali Shaheed Muhammad from A Tribe Called Quest for this unique , one -of -a kind experience.
The event featured a live art experience by CRASH, where he completed a mural by the pool during the event and added his tag to the photo booth backdrop.
The mural was inspired by 1940s and 50s Miami, with a custom design featuring a vivid flamingo motif set against a dark backdrop, evoking the neon lights of the city’s night scene.
Ali Shaheed Muhammad got the crowd excited and dancing by the pool as he played an amazing live DJ set as CRASH completed his artwork – a fusion of art and music at Art Basel. Perfect!
DJ Blaze kept the energy going on this special night with a phenomenial New York Hip Hip inspired mix that kept crowd dancing hours after the event ended. Clearly, “one for the books”. #AllGoodThingsMustEnd
This was one of the best events during Art Basel Miami 2016, besides the other event with Kendrick Lamar and Shantell Martin (click here in cased you missed it) , also presented by American Express (they definitely know what they are doing)
Stay Tuned!
