On December 1st, 2021 CAMUS Cognac unveiled their VSOP Limited Edition at an exclusive, invitation-only launch event held at Harlem’s historic landmark, The Cecil Steakhouse in New York City.
Guests were welcomed to the launch event with a CAMUS Cognac signature cocktail, then escorted to the red carpet hosted by Amber Lee Forrester.
Harlem’s favorite DJ, DJ Jon Quick provided the evening’s soundtrack, while guests enjoyed the Camus Renaissance 125, a spin-off of the Classic French75 cocktail garnished with pomegranate arils and served in a champagne flute.
The hosts of the evening were iconic Harlem natives, Tren’ness Woods-Black, known as The Queen of Hospitality, and Musa Jackson, who is affectionately known as Harlem’s Ambassador.
The hosts introduced Daniel Tindal, Sales Director for Camus Cognac US who took the audience on a journey through Camus Cognac, the key selling points, the tasting notes, the passion, the intensity, and why Harlem is the destination for the VSOP Limited Edition Camus Cognac culminating with a toast led by New York Market Manager, Henry Polanco. The toast was immediately followed by a bottle reveal by designed by artist Nick Low.
For the final hour of the event, guests were treated to a live performance from independent, soul-jazz violinist and vocalist, Charisa the ViolinDiva.
Before closing out the evening the hosts thanked Raphael Benavides, owner, and Bryan Perez, Manager of The Cecil Steakhouse and Minton’s Playhouse by gifting them with an engraved bottle of VSOP Limited Edition Camus Cognac.
