Event Recap: Already Famous with MellowHype

The Space in the Lower East Side was host to the launch party of Already Famous, a campaign to pay tribute to the urban skate community. Hosted by Airwalk and creative agency Project Fathom, the launch party packed the venue with music, skate icons, and generous helpings of Sailor Jerry rum. DJ’s Helen Harris and Venus X kept the energy going leading up to rap duo MellowHype’s wild performance, which had all of the moshing and crowd surfing of a punk show. The event also raised funds for the Harold Hunter Foundation, which supports inner-city kids with a passion for skateboarding.
