On February 27,2020, Ogilvy Black Diaspora presented a special event that celebrated African American History and Culture at the Ogilvy Headquarters in New York City. The event was the opening of the exhibition “African Americans and The Vote” featuring works by the artist, Tafa , curated by Robin King.
Founded in 2007 by Donna Pedro, World-wide Chief Diversity-Inclusion Officer, Ogilvy Black Diaspora was the first of 10 Professional Networks to be formed at the company as part of their Diversity and Inclusion Initiative. The evening celebrated African American history and culture with music, film highlighted with the art of Tafa.
The event was sponsored by SHINJU Japanese Whisky,, Perrier, Art Now After Hours and YRB Magazine.
