It’s been about a week since Tupac Shakur’s hologram performance at Coachella blew the minds of music lovers everywhere, stirring up reactions ranging from awe to anger. However, those looking forward to a digital Tupac tour might be holding their breath. Dr. Dre, Tupac’s friend and mastermind behind the project, made a YouTube announcement shortly after the performance, stating that HoloPac was “strictly for Coachella.” While many won’t ever get to see the digitized version of their favorite rapper ever again, hologram Tupac lives on through YouTube, as well as the various internet jokes that have made Shakur a legend for the second time, albeit for an entirely different reason.
