Chiodos fans were either shocked, delighted, or a little bit of both when Craig Owens revealed he’ll be rejoining the band. One thing that came as no surprise, however, is that Owens’ former band, post-hardcore supergroup D.R.U.G.S., is as good as done. D.R.U.G.S. guitarist Nick Martin, guitarist Matt Good, and drummer Aaron Stern announced their departure from the band today, leaving this message on their website:
After much thought and consideration we (Matt Good, Nick Martin and Aaron Stern) have decided to announce that we will be moving on from D.R.U.G.S. This decision has not been easy to make, and we want to express how grateful we are for all of you who have supported us and made this the incredible experience it has been over the past couple of years. We’ll always look back on our time in this band with pride, and have no regrets about the music we’ve made or the people we’ve made it with. We want to thank everyone who has believed in us, and we hope you’ll keep believing in us. We look forward to the future, and we know we’ll be seeing you again soon, no matter where our paths lead next.
With love and gratitude, Matt, Nick and Aaron

D.R.U.G.S. put out one album during their short career in 2011 with Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows. Does this mean that the band will exist as Owens’ side project as he rekindles the flame with Chiodos? Or are all parties involved simply done doing D.R.U.G.S.?
