On April 23rd, 2018 , YRB attended an advanced screening of Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 in New York City.
It took 19 films, 10 years of Marvel Studios in order for this particular film and it pays off well.
Without giving away any spoilers, my first thoughts are that the scope and ambition of the film will meet all expectations whether your a fan of the comic book or have only seen the films. It’s dark, funny, emotional, and devastating, with a lot of surprises.
It packs a lot in the 2 hour and 40 minutes running time, but there is the right balance of humor and action with your favorite Marvel Superheros. I was a little skeptical of the CGI rendition of the villain THANOS , but it was the right decision instead of layers of makeup. Paired with the acting of Josh Brolin, he is a villain that you actually feel yourself rooting for!
Is it worth seeing? Yes!
It is the most epic superhero movie ever produced and it shows on the screen in terms of special effects, locations and scope. You have to keep in mind that Infinity War is Part 1 of the story.
The ending will leave you thinking and wanting more! Unfortunately we all have to wait until May 2019 to see what happens.
Avengers: Infinity War opens in theaters everywhere April 27. 2018
