STEVIE BOI
Where are you based? I am based in Baltimore and New York city.
What was the inspiration behind this piece? My new collection, “Coexist,” is very religious and culture-inspired. I love the essence of chrome. It adds a luxurious look to everything.
What is your artistic background? I never went to college for arts, just business. To be honest, I’m not sure exactly where it comes from. As a kid, I traveled due to my parent’s military background; I believe it has something to do with experiencing different cultures, etc.
How different is it creating a work of art on something like these goggles from a standard 2D canvas? I really don’t think it’s too different. Any form of art is taken differently upon who is viewing it.
What was the most memorable piece you have worked on? The best piece I have ever made was the SBshines, which were the first glasses I designed. They became the most memorable when Lady Gaga performed in them every single night at Monster Ball.
Where can we find your work? You can find my work at www.StevieBoi.com and select boutiques around the world.

Where are you based? New York City
What was the inspiration behind this piece? Pop art, abstract graffiti and vibrant colors in general.
What is your artistic background? I began drawing a little over a decade ago, but I’ve kept a mixed media blackbook on hand for the last six years. I scan my sketches, digitally paint and print them, and then hand-render the prints with additional mixed media. I also love video production. I’ve been editing and creating 2D/3D animations for the last four years. I’m now in the process of building my own design venture – it’s called EXPERIENCE multimedia.
How different is it creating a work of art on something like these goggles from a standard 2D canvas? Working with the goggles was extremely different than canvas because of the combination of different materials. You have to account for the curvature of the surface, elasticity and the density of a porous material.
What was the most memorable piece you have worked on? My most memorable piece was a canvas I created for a close friend of mine. It’s a combination of four of my finished pieces. There are a lot of personal elements within it, and it includes a line from one of my personal statements, “…Only I can control my destiny.”
Where can we find your work? If you dig my work, like my Facebook page to stay up-to-date on my latest work – facebook.com/experiencemultimedia, experiencemultimedia.com.

Where are you based? Queens, New York
What was the inspiration behind this piece? Ice and fire. My art is all about extremes, opposites, balance and dichotomy. When I received the snow goggles, I knew immediately that I wanted to introduce a fiery element.
What is your artistic background? I graduated from School of Visual Arts in Illustration/Cartooning, so I do freelance in both worlds, but I’ve also been showing in lowbrow and pop-surrealist exhibitions since then.
How different is it creating a work of art on something like these goggles from a standard 2D canvas? I can express pure concept with a pre-existing subject instead of building up the entire piece from scratch. Otherwise, I’ve always been comfortable working in mixed media, so it was a bit of fun for me.
