On December 2, 2016 YRB attended “InFocus”, an original program aimed at celebrating the music, art and hip-hop scene through a multi-day event at Art Basel in Miami 2016. Presented by 1800 Tequila and Billboard, the exhibition showcased original photography from renowned hip-hop photographers and brand content creators, Cam Kirk, Gunner Stahl and Places + Faces. Three custom walls built by Peach Castle Atlanta made an eye-catching centerpiece in the elegant pop-up tent, erected on the South Beach sand. 1800 Tequila celebrates contemporary urban art and music with programs such as Art Basel working closely with artists such as Rae Sremmurd, Cam Kirk, Places + Faces and Gunner Stah. 1800 Tequila is a key cultural influencer of lifestyle moments for modern millennial urbanites.
“Photographers are the new rock stars in the sense that it’s like, the artist is only as big as the photos or the visuals. Some people will take photos just for the sake of it, but I want [to be like] Chi Modu, Jonathan Mannion, what they did in their time. In 20 years, I want kids to look at my photos and be like ‘Oh, from 2013 to 2050, this is what the culture looked like.”– Places + Faces, Ceisay
1800 Tequila also hosted a series of invite-only after parties at the Up & Down pop-up at Art Basel where Rae Sremmurd performed their hits and most recent #1 chart topping single “Black Beatles”. Photos by Monica Schipper/Getty Images for Billboard + 1800 Tequila
